According to Co-operative Logistics Network (CLN) vice president of research and operations John Steele, "the conventional aviation network worldwide is very slow." CLN is a global provider of services to carriers, freight brokers, and forwarders. Most of these larger companies operate hub-and-spoke operations. There are several flight hubs at nearly every airport around the globe.In the air, a very flexible system is needed. The freight network needs the network as a pilot in order to capitalize on aircraft's ability to fly in a corridor and build routes internationally to take advantage of ground transport.
